@bwaqas: You paki dog. You are calling him brilliant!! Is that why you guys put him in a jail and tried to suppress publication of his work? It was Faiz's misfortune that he had to live in such a rotten country that did not appreciate the man's work.

Thank God Sahir left pakiland for India in 1948 so that he could do his work without death threats and jail terms.

@bwaqas Faiz remained in India till 1948 but that is immaterial. Faiz as well as several other poets from Pakistan enjoy great fan following in India.

@jjn168 Even this movie was inEnglish, with the original title "In Custody". In hindi it was released as Muhafiz. It was a nice movie but was rejected by masses. Had great acting by Om Puri, Shashi Kapoor and Shabana Azmi.
