  • sorry, I'm not sure f I got it right, are Vladimir Miller and Vladimir Pasjukov the same person?

  • @Shogunmiyuchan Of course they are not the same person. Why would they? They don't even have the same surename! They are both basso profondos, but it's quite easy to distinguish their voices from each other.

  • I realy want to know more about Vladimir Pasjuikov.

How old is he? ca. 38-43?

Is he also able to sing in an opera or is he just specializet in church songs/"(carols)"?

  • @Elsynore It's really hard to find any information about him, I would also like to know more. I believe he is retired though; at least he no longer performs with the Male Choir of St. Petersburg, so he's probably considerably older than 43 years old. I would guess maybe around 55-60.

  • in all the old Russian choir, Cossack choir, there were powerful basso Profondos, an old Russian tradition, among other things also because you did not use organs in Russian churches therefore the voices had to cover the entire octave range

  • Okay, Peter Steele definately is a baritone when compared to this.

  • i can sing this

  • @fuitbag But Mr. Pasjukov could sing with great power and musicianship notes above the staves. Just listen to his version of "Twelve brigands": at 3'32'' or something like that, you may hear a musical earthquake.

  • @1donpizarro Thanks for replying to me - because I haven't been here in a while and hadn't heard the sad news. And it is sad, so many of us just learned he existed in the last few years, thanks to Youtube, and never got the chance to hear him live. I wonder if he knew he had a little unofficial fan club here? Not to mention 66/67 is too young to be passing on...

  • @ItalianFindart Could you tell me more about his vocal range? I know he can sing easily on 3 octaves, but what's the deepest note he can produce? Thanks for answering!

  • @Shalott99 Yes, and it's a Bflat 3. But, in his recording of "Twelve brigands" (on youtube), I heard him sing a D flat (above the stave, in F clef), and that sounded uttermost impressive by its power. I had not realized (or I had forgotte,n) that, as a basso profondo, he could reach such notes.

  • My heart aches to think that never again shall the earth hear the voice of Mr. Vladimir Pasjukov in person... and from this very recording I had guessed that Mr. Pasjukov may have known a little more about the struggles of age, pain, and suffering than his fellow profondos. But I think that he knows now the fullness of the answer to this heartfelt prayer... and will delight the saints, the angels, and his Creator down through eternity with his joyful, "profound" praise.
