In the summer of 2009, The City Church announced that Judah and Chelsea Smith would become the church's Lead Pastors. The Smiths served as the church's youth pastors for seven years and in January 2009 Judah Smith became the church's Preaching Pastor.

Judah's messages and impact has reach far beyond The City Church. He is a featured speaker at church conferences and other Christian church-related events in the U.S. and around the world. His video podcast (GCTV) was featured on iTunes and is consistently ranked among the top 100 religious podcasts. He has an estimated 30,000 listeners online and his Twitter account (@judahsmith).

@firecorona think hes talking about the people that are like yeah man we got 12 people in youth not groing more focusing on that 12 but its like the vision needs to be not only about raising those men and women of god up but also going out and bringing more in ya know. jesus said it in the bible already go and preach :) heal the sick make disciples. some churchs just focus on the 1 vision hes saying do all of it ! i guess :P
