This is a clip I remember catching as a child about 1989 or 1990 (obviously as part of something larger as the original show was 1969 and never re-run), and it was my first experience of the superb entertainer who was Liberace and the start of a long-standing admiration. Apart from that, I thought it was very funny, and have looked for it since. I was therefore very pleased to find it as part of the Terry-Thomas edition of the "Heroes of Comedy" series from 1999, currently being re-run on G.O.L.D.

  • take a good look at this because you will never see another like him, not even close rather!!

  • Brilliant!

  • This makes me laugh every time!, ..who gives a Womble about how Mr. Thomas lived his Private life...he was an Entertainer....He Entertained...We laughed...If you don't like it...fair enough... but don't have a go at a guy who lived to entertain. If you look into Terry's past you will find he was not a 'Toff' at all, He actually put his 'Posh' accent on....and it paid orf! ...I Say!

  • Liberace was a genius and kind man.

Entertainers the world over from Elvis Presley, Barbra Streisand and Lady Gaga owe him a debt of gratitude. He was the first to do what they do - entertain with showmanship and style.

I knew his sister and his housekeeper and many of his business associates. During the early 90s I stayed in his Palm Springs Villa. He had passed away by then.

He had the sweetest soul and he gave to others who were less fortunate than himself constantly. He was a decent man!

  • @TheKenfig Yeah, it's true : he denied being gay when he said that a British newspaper implied he was, and he won it. Then he died of AIDS and settled out of court with his former lover, a 24 year old at the time of the settlement. I read he was obsessed by sex and young boys, watched porn of them and had in implant when he was impotent to give him an erection the whole time so that he could fuck boys

  • @TheKenfig

    Pardon? Proof?

  • @chaddirects Liberace sued a newspaper successfully for saying he was gay. That made him a thief as well as a pederast who molested young boys

  • @TheKenfig

Do what now? You're a heartless asshat?
