  • Professional attire for women in the 80's was weird. Lots of ties, ruffles and neckerchiefs.

  • Those were some odd graphics...particularly the attempt to mirror "Crimes" in "Sex Crimes".

I remember seeing the TV movie about the Stayner case when it first came on. Don't remember much about it, except it made me more paranoid about getting kidnapped.

If my university had had a vote on whether to stock instruments for mass suicide, the normal paltry turnout would probably have soared.

A kid killed himself over his family's financial problems? Wow--that's--wow.

  • @eyeh8nbc he ended up in prison for life in 2004 for trying to buy a three year old child. He died in prison in 2008.

  • @Boogeyman80 at least now the bastard is dead, so he can't hurt any more boys.

  • This is some WEIRD music!

  • Thanks for posting this- been researching the Kenneth Parnell case for a while. The book didn't mention that they tried to prosecute him later- how did that turn out?

The Stayners were on "Good Morning America" in 1980 shortly after Steven came home- does anybody have a copy of that, or any other related footage?

  • Theresa Leukenas - that is the same woman who left the west coast for WBNS in Columbus, OH (another affiliate of CBS).

  • Damn, they gave Parnell parole! Of all people...
