Best video out in my opinion

great video.. thank you

@Rackal14 i was wondering the same thing, do u know how now, cuz i stil dont

Wow, thank you so much. I had totally forgot how to manually plot rational functions, and everything I turned to for help just told me to use a calculator to find the graph. Thanks for spelling it out for me.

WHAT IS THIS ALIEN LANGUAGE!?

great video, i was just wondering wen u start at the "find extra points" how do u do that? for the first one with -3 do u sub it into something?

@raptors551 Yeah, we're finding f(-3), this means to substitute -3 in for x into the function f(x). That will give you the y-value that corresponds to -3.

This helped a lot but I have a question. When u are graphing the line in the 2nd quadrant and doing that by finding f(x), well are you just randomly picking numbers to use as x? And how did you get f(-3)=7 and so forth??

@Rackal14 Yeah, it's kinda of like picking random numbers. After all, you do have an infinite number of numbers that you can choose. I just chose numbers for x that were close to the vertical asymptote. If you're not sure why/how f(-3)=7, then I recommend checking out my video titled "Function Notation".
Study well.

You should be a teacher because you explain it SO MUCH BETTER than my Pre-Calculus teacher does. Nice job, waszel! Keep those videos coming because they are seriously helping me in my class!

Thanks. I am a teacher. I've been teaching mathematics since 1992. I'm glad the videos are helping. Study well!
