How To: Record An Album - Editing Audio Using Software/Mixing

A fellow musician I collaborate with wrote a song called "Ten Years Gone." We jam together in his studio space and I'm taking the audio tracks back to my studio space to edit and mix the tracks. I'm also adding additional guitar tracks. At this point the mixing will be off... we'll find the drums are too quiet now because the original mix was set to have only one guitar. But with the additional guitar added we can get an idea of how the song will go. So when we record the song again with the new changes, we can do the mix properly. I'll show that in an upcoming video.

How much is Cubase5? I want to record some stuff so bad.... And I totally agree that a lot of famous artists don't have a lot of talent. You are an epic guitarist btw

@metallicbluekat thanks so much! I sold my soul for Cubase 5 and the instruction manual is super thick. It was about $600 Canadian but you can get it cheaper, depending on where you are or if you are a student. The program in this video isn't cubase tho. It's a freebie from the internet. =)

@theraine35 this program was cool edit pro 2.0... it's a freebie. But I recently got Cubase 5 and it's 100x better. =) Still, this program is super easy to use and anything you want to do you can do it.
