I live in Utah, and here you can do your EMT-B without your EMR. After your Basic you can choose to get your intermediate, or just go straight to paramedic.

  • in what province are you located? in AB i apply for EMR , thats the first step, classes for 2 weeks, i don't know if you will be trained on ambulance with someone... (?), then after you get your registration as EMR, you can go to next level (EMT), and the most expensive level (paramedic)... i wonder if are almost same in all provinces ??? thanks

  • For my EMT class the amount of hands on time I need is ridiculously small- 10 hours. Fortunately, since I have been active with my fire department for almost a year, by the time I'm done with my class I'll have quite a bit more experience than I need for the class. I still feel that classes should require more ride time or hospital hours.

  • @projectsuicide88 how much money do you make per yr

  • @projectsuicide88 here in wisconsin you have to be 18 to be certified but you can get your training permit and work as an emt at 16 (or 17) as long as you are supervised by a licensed emt
