Love watching Nash work. You two are a great team.

Is it necessary to give your dog a treat every time he performs well? Or will that only make the dog demand for a treat everytime you command it? Your dog seems nicely trained, I'm kind of surprised that you didn't use any treats for 9 minutes! :O Apparently the books that I have about dogs says that you have to feed your dog a treat everytime it performs well ion order to keep it motivated to perform. So, what am I supposed to do? :O

@patryric haha okay, i thought you didn't know what was going on in the video.. my bad lol

@SuperStarMal I always thought that you should not be repeating commands when training cause the dog will learn to wait for 7or8 SITS before complying. That's why I ask a pro why he is doing it in this case. Duhh

@patryric cuz the dog wasn't listening ?? duhh

At one point you start repeating the commands "out out out out", "fetch fetch fetch fetch". Could you explain why you do this please?

Liked the close-ups. I don't think I could do as well as he did.
Great question! I am showing that the dog is still doing the correct command and not over reacting or just jumping to offer other behaviors as soon as he hears me speak. This is also the reason that I am pausing at times. Some dog trainers dogs would just start offering all sorts of behaviors in situations like that because they do not have attention to command. When I keep telling him to 'fetch', he is not anticipating and just dropping it. Just making it all up as I go. Not a pattern.

@fredhassen The reason I was asking is that I have been often told not to repeat the command when the dog does not comply but say NO instead. My dog will sometimes start offering behaviors when her drive is way up, or she might seem confused a bit like Nash is near the end of the exercise. I normally do not repeat; I say no and correct her when this happens. Afraid that she will wait for 2 or 3 SITS the next time I ask ;-)

@patryric On my channel I have a video entitled: Dog Training Tip- Do not tell your dog 'No'. That should answer for you why I do not do that.
