  • wat instrument is that, a lute?

  • It is a Mandolin - it is derived from a Lute called a 'Mandore' - by the Italians and used largely in Napoli in the 19Century :)

  • Muy bonito

  • Is there a reason why everyone is being blocked by the video you have called Dean Martin - The Man Who Plays The Mandolino

ITs blocking us here in the US TO VIEW!

I really love your playing... Wow ! wish i was that good :-)

Many thanks for the wonderful videos

  • very good man...you do concerts?

  • Lovely! The mandolino is quintessentially Italian, of course, and the addition of your playing to Mascagni's scoring is brilliant. One can virtually feel the breath of the sea sweeping across the piazza. I have played the organ accompaniment to the Intermezzo in the opera house, and it is a beautiful, if now somewhat hackneyed, piece. Grazie!

  • Where did you buy your mandolin. Is it an Italian one?
