@merkinater And I'm pretty sure you haven't read any basic history if that's what you are 'pretty sure' of. If you're going to take the time out of your day to throw down something you apparently know little to nothing about, that's fine, but at least make a mild attempt to educate yourself on the matter at hand to give yourself some dignity... "Communist" Russia "is" no more. That happened nearly twenty years ago, and was far from a communist society.

Indeed, people in general really like to own things and compare themselves to others; and with only this, it would be very hard to establish a communist regime. ^_^

I have. But what I said was stupid and filled with ridiculous amounts of flaw and failure. Communist Russia is in fact no more. But while it was in power it wasn't exactly a stable society. And it was close to a communist society, it only took it to the extreme. And look at other communist areas today such as China and North Korea.. Both of which are unfavorable living conditions through the eyes of most North Americans

Most of North America is filled with the self indulged and the selfish. Communism relies on everyone being treated equally.. By the structure of society today I don't believe that a communist social structure would be successful.
