I think it's amusing that the internet is a sort of "barrier" that allows people to say things to others via computer that they would never have the bravery to say to their faces. I was simply pointing out that not every single American is dumb. I mean, look at Bill Maher. He's not stupid. But thank you for saying I'm articulate; that means a lot to this American woman. :)

It would be difficult for the US to function as a corporate, capitalist leader if most of the people in the country were not stupid. The population needs to not question, to be complacent and complicit in order for such systems to function. Stupidity is a necessity, and it's what has made the country successful.

You said, "Compared to other western countries, Americans aren't geniuses," and I gave you an example of an American who is a genius. And I think you meant to say "literally," not "figuratively."
