@MrOeyoenne Bob shot a man that wanted to be shot at that moment. Jesse felt betrayed. Bob and Charley were afraid they would be Jesse's next victim and there was no workable suitation after that news article where Dick confessed.

This film tore me apart between jesse and bob. I felt sympathy for both. Such a great film!

The film also studies the character of a criminal and shows how his fears and regrets were no different than most other men. It humanizes the demonized enemy. Robert realizes how ordinary his hero is and he also realizes after killing him that he's no different.

I'm going to geuss that jesse knew what he was doing wasn't right and he knew he was doing wrong but he continued doing it to gain respect and other motives.
