  • I've met Larry. He's a nice guy and a fixture in San Diego news for over 30 years now. He used to have a pretty funny local comedy TV show, too. Trust me, that's not acting. That's a sincerely nice guy getting his house burned while he's pretty much helpless to do anything about it.

  • Of course.... Keep telling yourself that and you might just have a clear conscience when your next wasting your life doing nothing productive. I hope you self esteem is a reflection of being buried in the earth without anything else to look forward to, because that my frien is all you have to look forward to. Zombie-lutionists

  • Calm down. "God" has nothing to do with anything because he does not exist.

  • The winds are coming back! Google Ontario Weather Service for the most accurate forecast on them.

  • How sad!

  • Definitely not. This guy is a hugely well known reporter here in San Diego, I doubt anyone could get away with that.

  • Get a life. It's people like you that not only keep segregation and racism in this country, but who instill a sense of panic and fear in our people. San Diego is pulling together and we are all just fine.

  • I agree with ddhsd. Larry Himmel is well known. He isn't acting as if he is the only one who is suffering through this, he just stands as a symbol of the devastation that ravished our county. How emotional that must have been, to be driving in your news van and fear the worst, only to come and see that it's true. Then to take the time to talk to the public in front of your burning home...I think it took a lot of strength.

  • the fires ar in los angeles county to so dont forget
