This song spoke to me the first time I ever heard it, way back in 1974. As all three of my children were little and growing up, I would sit by there bed and sing this song for them to put them to sleep. As adults now, they still talk about hearing, and loving, this song. Thanks Kansas, you were special.

I've looked everywhere and can find no reference of the lead singer from Kansas saying anything even remotely like what you claim.
