@clicclic99 ON THE technical side of things, other than the beautiful putting, the engine, like others will wear overtime. so if an engine has never been refurbished its gonna need a whole lot of work. you have to keep everything in good condition for a good runner :P

For those of us across the pond, can you share why this engine deserves so much love and attention? I may be the only Yank who is clueless but just wondering...

Hi. These engines look good, you can fix and get parts for them, they're easy to come by and are relatively cheap if someone is willing to put in a bit of work.
I would guess that this might be peoples choice of 'first' engine which could explain the love and attention they receive.
The phut-phut-phut-phut noise is what does it for me though!!

Hi Richard. No use for it as yet, though thinking of driving a small air compressor maybe. It's a bit big for only 1.5Hp.
A free piston engine - lol - not any more. Well only as long as the gudgeon pin holds anyway!
