Will I still get 1080p resolution if I use component cables? Or will I need the HDMI Cable?

Yes you would! Component carries signal up to 1080p resolution..some people say even more! If you use composite..thats a whole different story.

whether this thing plays Divx from portable HDD , or only from a flash device ? , i saw in some reviews reporting a lag in the playback while running from a portable device? ,,,,,,
