when I had a roomba i thought the same thing but you don't wan't to put the home base under furniture because you need to empty and clean the brushes after each cleaning. I have had 3 roombas, get a neato, trust me it'e great. if your fanatic like me you'll also get the mint and some swiffer anti bacterial solution to run a couple times a week and you could eat off your floors.
Anyone have any experience with the 780 and dog hair? Trying to decide whether to get this in which case vacuuming would get done vs. an upright- better cleaner, but the actual vacuuming won't happen as often!
Ok, I know these things have sensors and rubber bumpers but damn, it's hitting stuff like it's pissed. Even leaving the ground when it goes "bump". The one thing that REALLY concerns me most after seeing this and another video is the rotating brush. Seems like to me, on hard wood floors, that if it ran into a pile of dust, it would "sling" it all over before it has a change to suck it up. Want to get the wife one for xmas but 600-700 is a lot to pay if I need to go behind it with a dirt devil.

What is the size of the home base? I need to integrate this into/under furniture. Thanks.

still just a bump-bot. I really thought roomba would step their game up with competitors like neato and mint. still just a sweeper.

It's really not that loud. Unless you stick your ear as close as the camera is

Somehow I thought this thing would be quieter than a lawn mower.
