So nice to actually see him visit for a change. I get the impression he'd rather do that overseas than here in the US. I don't blame him for being uneasy with the press (just look how the press IS, for pete's sake!).

Kinda torn. He has earned the right to do his own thing and can afford to. Yet I wonder about how real he is. When he edits interviews you dont know what he is up to. Maybe he learned from MJ's too open interviews and saw how stuff gets twisted? Then again MJ bad idea or not had the guts to do it...

For Maceo Parker to call someone a Genius is Huge. He speaks humbly though being one of the Greats, with Parliament Funkadelic, with others, and on his own. We all know Prince is a Genius, but having someone of Maceo's caliber place that title on you is akin to Hendrix calling you a Musical Genius. If you don't know Mr. Parker's work, enjoy exploring the Funk.

Eric Leeds and Wendy and Lisa have said that can't read but he knows the name of chords and where they are on instruments. it's common with many musicians to know music but not read it.
