Public Enemy's 1988 album honestly is one of the few rap albums I ever liked. I never heard anything done with such commitment to storytelling, social commentary and great use of beats.
C compared some of the rap that followed, the use of language even curse words is sophisticated and quite appropriate. Makes those guys who curse to say simply how many dumb girlfriends they can wrap around their finger because they have them live in fear are imbeciles needing a gun to compensate
