Running 7.96 seconds at 167.34 miles an hour, the Duramax-powered Banks Sidewinder S-10 became the first diesel truck into the sevens. This test took place at the NHRA-sanctioned Speedworld Dragstrip in Wittmann, AZ on Dec.18, 2007.

  • i love hearing quiet high hp cars launch with big slicks so you can hear the tires hooking up

  • @alterbr33d they're supposed to, they're called wrinkle wall slicks...

  • yea thats actually so common its not even funny.. it happens in almost any drag car that has low pressure drag slicks... if you had a 14 sec camaro with slicks on 8 psi the sidewalls would still prolly wrinkle if it hooked..

  • At between 2-3 secs, anyone else see the tire itself gets twisted up?!
