I can't help but feel as though they've sucked out the soul seen in last year's competition in order to give it a more direct 'sciency' feel.
I'd also like to know how the hell they intend to properly score this on an additive basis.

hate the rule about only using kit wheels. so gimp.

This is really interesting...it's going to be kind of a headache bilding a robot around the fact that we're using a floor with very little traction. the number of motors wouldn't even matter without traction...
but, it does sound like a fun challenge. i can't wait to get started =]
