This is the first ever launch of the boat Les made this during chemotherapy.

It is an exact remote control replica of a world war 2 air sea rescue launch - he made the same model as a child with the sea cadets and when he was unable to find his original model back, he started from scratch.

Since this video, he has added extra ballast and a faster motor and battery set. Unfortunately he is too Ill to launch the boat again but wanted it on YouTube so people could see.

  • Well done a fantastic looking model, I hope that you recover and are able to fully enjoy your masterpiece Les. I have a few friends going through the same expirience and they are bouncing back. To many years of happy sailing.

  • Nicely done. Don't see many ASRL's on the water but they look so good. This is an especially nice one.

Hope you friend is doing well.
