HI everyone, as some of you might have found out it is not dancing on 2, it is normal dancing on 1 , but he switched 5 and 1 for the sake of catching breaks which comes at 5 at this particular song. As he wants to show this particular figure (COB + man 1/2 turn) and break is on five, he can't do it with normal dancing on 1. And yes I agree, he could have chosen any other figure, that can end on five and normally dance on 1. (not reccomended for social dancing)

ohh and @ferznator... 5 is not still 1... 5 is 5 when dancing, not 1... big difference, do yourself a favor friend and go ask a dancer k? Much love! xoxo

@ferznator ... I don't need to study music nor do research because I know what I'm talking about... I never said he didn't break on one, he does... but his timing is off... don't you know the difference?? Guess not, read the rest of the comments from other people, they are saying the same thing as I... Because they know what they are talking about.. Got it?? Good!!!!!! lol

@ferznator ... LOL! It is awful, real dancers would agree...you still don't get it... sad...there are two ways of dancing on 2, New York style and PuertoRican style, but they're not dancing on either one... in NY style followers will break forward with the left foot on the 2 and leaders will break forward on the 6... In PR style the leader breaks forward on 2 instead of the follower...

he is counting on the wrong timing

@durabunny I agree in reverse I love the song too, a note on musicality is that any dancer will have a different feeling and will dance different, he proposed this pattern for the class which i think its not that bad, remember its for social dancing, you may wanna do something different in a routine or get a coach i mean i would get a coach i mean for me haha

@landyaam again the quote about if i have a clue, a few questions for you who claim 'have a clue' you said accepted are on1 and on2, accepted by who? when there's no standards, there is 2 ways to dance on2 so why can't he do that? maybe you should study music and do some research, he still breaks on1, the music measure is 4/4, first measure they break on1 2nd measure again on1, is it awful? that's only your opinion, since you are not a qualified judge its your opinion its only and opinion friend

@ferznator ... it doesn't seem you understand what I'm trying to say, he is on beat, but not the right timing... If you do have a clue about dancing you should know that... and it's not MY beat, accepted timing are on1 and on2, there's no on5, that doesn't exist... There's also salsa caleña, but that's something different... Maybe he's trying to create a new timing style, which by the way is awful... :-/... good day here :)
