July 2009 - 466,236 pounds of Ground Beef Products recalled Due To Possible Salmonella Contamination ..."this strain of Salmonella is resistant to many commonly prescribed drugs." Umm... antibiotics? Is that because they are fed to the sick cattle.

Factory Farm standards are abuse from life to death.

That's great that there are small, local farms. But I'm under the impression that they are few and far between and that most meat comes from factory farms. Maybe I'm wrong

There is always choice. In most parts of the country one can find, if one looks for it, meat from small local farms. I'm against factory farming too, but one can be against factory farms and still not be against eating meat.

You are what you eat: If you eat diseased flesh of miserable animals, what do you think you are doing for your health? There are so many delicious and nutritious alternatives. The only thing you will miss when you eliminate meat from your diet is an unhealthy feeling and proneness to disease.

Some people live in cloud cuckoo land as they think farm animals are treated well.
Farmers see them as profit and don't care for their welfare. I think factory farming and long distance transport should be stopped! At least I can eat dinner with a clear concience, as I'm vegetarian.

You missed the whole point! why bother! its not being sprayed with water thats the issue.. its how it was sprayed. let someone spray water in your eyes and in ur nose and down ur throat with a pressure hose and tell me how it feels! tell me if you wouldn't feel like your drowning! then you will know what these poor animals endured! then let me hear you make a comment worth reading!
