Guys, these videos are phenomenal. Kudos to you. Thanks so much. Great Jersey :)

at the bottom of the movement his back is not straight...it bends right at the bottom just before he lifts the bar...otherwise great video

I was wondering why it's necessary to lower the bar all the way to the feet? Ive been doing this by straddling a bench and lowering the bar to the level of the bench then back up? Is this bad? Also isn't it best to look foward because when you look down I tend to round my back a little? Thanks for the great videos coach!

@guitarshredking A muscle need max stretch in order to induce maximal contraction, that is why. Most people are too stiff in the posterior chain and can never do these exercises properly

Dear Scott - could you please name a few examples of exercises for mass and strength in which pausing in contracted position is advisible? I suspect for the majority of movements you advise a fluent execution without pausing (at least for those movements you and Kevin present on the clips). Thank you for sharing great advice and clips one can learn a lot from.

@biglabrador Well many exercises can lend to either application depending on where they fall within the program. I outline this in my book, "The Abel Approach" as well. But really there would be so many to mention and so many exceptions I couldn't cover it in a simple YT post. But many of our other video clips explain such things as well
Best of luck in your training mate

Is it advisible to squeeze and hold the movement for a second in the contracted position (this question also refers to other exercises for lats and upper back like pulldowns or dumbell rows) or just make it one fluent motion without pausing?

@biglabrador No, not in my opinion. Some exercises lend to that, some do not
