i'll end all your bickering right now good people, JD fortune is a great singer but as an aussie who has seen inxs play live on many occasions over a 20yr period THERE IS ONLY ONE INXS....(i truly dont know what the other band members were thinking with the MTV show to find a new singer????, maybe the cheque that got waived in front of thier faces by MTV was to good to refuse!!!!, who knows). Same as ACDC, johnsons a great frontman and they still rock but theres something missing without bon.

I do understand what you're saying about it being a kind of rebirth for INXS, because until the time that JD was hired, INXS was(in a way)dying. They had many good lead singers, but just not long enough to get people listening again. And I am happy for the band, they are great musicians and deserve it. But, I still don't like JD, and it has nothing do with moving or not moving on from Michael. I just don't like his voice and I don't think he's very natural or original.

All I'm saying is that INXS with JD is called INXS Mach 2 by many. INXS with JD is like a phoenix rising from the ashes, its rebirth. As Andrew Farriss said, The word Switch means a lot of things for them and was the reason why it was the name of their latest album. JD does a fantastic job up front. I still cry about michael being gone, but its time to move on and JD is that person helping me move on.

I've been a fan of U2 and INXS since you were in diapers. By saying this, my intentions aren't to insult...I just want to let you know that I truly am a fan of both.

Hodgoberro, what does JD have to do with Michael Hutchence? Or Bono's relationship with Michael? And by the way, yes I do know that Michael and Bono were best mates. So to be a true fan of U2 and INXS, I have to be a fan of JD? That doesn't make sense. I love the other band members, but I don't think I have to like JD. Yes, I shouldn't insult him or other fans. I've learned that that's nonsense and rude. But, I don't understand what you're saying.

A bit rich coming from a U2 fan. I guess you probably didn't know that bono was one of Michael's best mates.
So much for calling yourself a U2 fan.
I'm a U2 fan (been one since I was 7 years old) but I'm also a INXS fan.
You should hear Michael Hutchence sing it.

I wouldn't call INXS with JD INXS Mach 2, I'd call it "INXS-shell-of-their-former-selves". Sorry, I don't have a problem with JD because he's not Michael. I have a problem with JD because his stage presence is cheesy and forced, and he is completely lacking in vocal range. He has layers of reverb and mixing effects on his voice on stage, and frankly, he keeps veering back into his former Elvis-impersonator voice. At 5:32 he yells "Let's get ready to rumble". It's nothing short of Velveeta!!!
