Madho is stunned to see Santu in a filthy, dark & gloomy room. On asking, Santu makes excuses by telling him that she has come to clean the room. She also makes stories & tells Madho (Nanaji) that she is very comfortable there & there is no problem at all. But Madho understands that Santu is lying to him. Madho feels very upset about Santus condition. His dreams for Santu get shattered.

Tarulaben also comes there & insults Madho. She tells him that she is distributing food & clothes to poor as a charity on the occasion of solar eclipse & he should also stand in the queue. Madho stands in the queue & accepts the charity. Madho informs Tarulaben that he has come to take Maalik & Santu along at his house for the ritual of Pagphera. Tarulaben refuses to send Santu according to a rule of not moving out of the house during eclipse being followed in their house. Madho gets upset but Dharamraaj gives him the permission to take away Santu.

On their way, they stop at Kodhiyar maas well. Madho wishes for a long life as he wants to see Santu happy & wishes Santus happiness & her strength to face all the hurdles & problems. Santu also wishes for Nanajis happiness. Khemi has lit up the entire house with diyas & tells Monghi that that the way Santus life is lit up; she wants to light up the house to welcome her.

At Dharamraajs house, all are having dinner & Tarulaben asks him about permitting Santu to move out of house at the time of eclipse. Dharamraaj tells her that the rules are only for the family members & Santu is not a family member. Tarulaben is just about to serve food in Subhadras plate but Dharamraaj reminds her that she used to fast on the eclipse day.

Santu is also at Madhos house & Monghi asks her several questions about her huge house & all the comforts. Santu makes stories to tell her that she is very happy & her house is very huge, her room is very huge. Madho gets upset on hearing these stories as the reality is totally opposite. Santu remembers the way Nanaji was insulted by Tarulaben & remembers that she was supposed to fast to day. She confesses to Manjari (cow) that being a daughter in law of Mahiyavanshi family, she was supposed to fast but she had a bite. Khemi sees Santu crying& upset & understands Santus plight. Khemi asks Santu to tell her the reality.
