Joy posted a video on her twitter about 'Tread On Trafficking' a fundraising event for the non profit organisation Love146 which seeks to abolish child sex slavery and exploitation. She's really passionate about supporting Love146 and as such she has started a Tread On Trafficking team.

"Hi everyone, um, it's uh me Bethany Joy Galeotti. And I just wanted to let you know that the Tread On Trafficking for the organisation Love146 starts tomorrow (May 1st). And uh if you haven't signed up already I really want to encourage you to sign up. I had a great conversation today with the founder of Love146, Rob Morris, and he was telling me all about um the kinds of rehabilitation that they're offering for these uh trafficked women and children, young women and children. Um, they're giving them education, they're getting them reintegrated into society, some of these girls have been able to not only uh move on to have a normal life and a job but they've also been able to fall in love and get married. And um that's truly, truly a miracle. To be able to feel love and cared for and important again after the kinds of horror that they have been through in the world of sex trafficking.
So I really encourage you, if you are able to walk a mile everyday or even every other day or once a week, get somebody to sponsor you. Because this cause is so, so, so important and we want to make sure that the women and the children that are out there know how loved and cared for they are. And um that there are people all over the world supporting them and lending their voices to them.
