Muay Thai Instructional Boxing & Low Kick

From my experience the best way to land a clean low kick is to throw a punch first. This is how I build my reflexes and speed between my punches and kicks. Try it! Good for cardio and gets you following up punches with a kick. Pad holder calls the punch; you throw it & follow up automatically with the low kick. Try to maintain good technique throughout. Ive also done the drill from a southpaw stance for all you lefty's out there.

Train hard & let me know how you get on with the drill!

  • @mmacritics Niether is right or wrong, it depends what you are trying to do. K-1 GP champ Peter Aerts used to repeatedly kick his opponents leg then look at the leg and kick the head to get the KO!! There is no right or wrong way, whatever works for you

  • Nice training!

    I noticed 2 things,may be U r tired but try bit faster.

2nd, when U r throwing low kick U r bit close to the oponent. While kicking ur both hands (guard) falls down.I think that could be dangerous for U while in fight.

  • keep it up

  • nice.

  • @ranbirsingh50 Wrong. You should always look into your opponents eyes. If you get used to it you can see exactly when he is going to kick/punch AND he wont ever guess where you will kick/punch.
