I'm no one that special. im just a girl with a camera and a little bit of computer knowledge who wanted to step up my search efforts before my upcoming birthday..
I'm adopted and I want to find my roots.
this is a video to share with those to aid me in my search in hopes it one day finds my first family, who I am denied any info or trace of as i was born in a "closed" state. Im not "allowed" to have my original birth certificate and I hope this video lets you see some of my pain.. in not knowing.. or feeling like I could ever know... just where i come from. Please comment appropriatly or email me privately at sevenxashes@gmail.com

My birthday is 12/08/1983 and I was born in Brooklyn NY
I am also the Founder of the Seymour Fenichel Adoptees support group

  • @cvaguy Not something like this! I think it's perfectly normal to want to know who gave birth to you and to want a relationship with them. Most non-adoptees take that for granted because they already have it.

  • @cvaguy, clearly, you are not adopted.

Adult Adoptees are more than capable to determine for themselves what they are "better of" not knowing. No one should decide that for them.

  • cont. To understand the fabric of what makes us unique as a person. I think every mother loves their child, even if they have to give them up. No mother willingly gives her child away, there are reasons and possibly hardships for one to make such a difficult decision. Whatever the reasons...she gave birth and life to such a beautiful person in YOU, Rachel. :] I wish you the best of luck in your search and endeavor to find answers to fully complete this story that is your life....

  • Rachel, this was very deep and touching. And I'm not embarrassed to say that it even made me shed a tear. I might be a guy, but I'm human too. T_T Even though I'm not adopted, watching this vid made me feel like I can totally empathize with you..how painful it must feel...like there's a void inside your soul. It's like watching a movie that ends suddenly in mystery and there's something incomplete about it and you want answers. I think as humans we all desire to understand where we came from.
