This is PART 1 of a 2 Part series on how to use the CAPTAIN SIM 727 autopilot to shoot an ILS landing. I used the ILS RWY 19R (CAT II) approach plate for Kansas City Intl. If you would like to print it off and follow along with the tutorial you can find the plate here - http://flightaware.com/resources/airport/KMCI/IAP/ILS+RWY+19R(CAT+II)

  • How is this sim overall? I was @ Best Buy a few weeks ago, and I had this in my left hand, and the Just Flight 737 Pilot In Command in my right. I chose the right hand and hate it. There are so many things wrong with it. I went back, and this was gone. I can order it, but I want to get some feedback so I am not burned again. On a scale of 1 thru 10, what would you give it? Any other things good/bad about it? Thanks for posting this. You sound like you know what your talking about.

  • @0Heavy0Metal0 I don't think CS727 is available in a boxed format.... With that being said, I would give the CS727 a score of 8 out of 10. It's a solid add-on for FSX but it has it's flaws. I would recommend that you go to the captain sim website and look at the forum. Here you can get an idea of pros and cons of the add-on. Actually, I recommend doing this before buying any software. good luck!

  • @danoob2110 I does NOT have a 2D cockpit but yes it has a GPS

  • @MercuryOneOne Does this have the GPS and 2d panel just like the default b737 and 747? Because i'm used to the GPS for ILS approaches. Do i have to use FMC on this?

  • @PilotBossify - It depends on the SID/STAR - But, yes... There are going to be certain ones that the plane will not be able to fly, unless you augment you navigation with the GPS.

  • @MercuryOneOne so you cant use star approaches because they are mostly all waypoints?

  • @rugeley123 Start your FSX flight with the CS727. Then from the menu bar, go to the aircraft selection. From there you have to re-select the CS727 and reload the aircraft. Once you reload the aircraft, the sounds should work. Also, you can always go the the Capt Sim forum for a more detailed explanation or any other probs you may have.

  • how you get th cabin talk? thanks

  • Hi, very nice videos! Also you could check out mine :D but whatewer. Could you make a whole flight tut? I still don´t understand alot of thinks, like flight with basic thing, startup and so on with the 727 cause it´s aweome plane and at 1080p !!! Thanks so much for this video and hope for the whole tut one ;)

  • @LiamKroes You can download the demo from CS website. It's better than the 757 and 707. at least the demo
