The Muskeg River band has developed this promotional video about the songs that were written to describe the Forced Migration of the Mountain Metis. This took place in 1909 and 1910 from Jasper National Park. Songs were written by song writer Laura Vinson.

Al Findlay is a descendant of Jacco Findlay, one of the pioneer Metis who helped the North West Company open up Canada's trade routes. Laura Vinson is descended from Tete Jaune (Yellowhead) who was also an early employee of the Hudson Bay Company. The Yellowhead Highway is named in his honour.
