Automatic Direction Finder--Another teaching lecture on radio navigation, this time using PowerPoint for visual aids. Although I tried to keep the length down, I couldn't fit both the lecture and the demonstration in 10min, so there will be two parts:
Part 1 explains the signal used by ADF, limitations, the different types of ADF instruments, and how to use the instruments.
Part 2 is still in production, and will demonstrate homing and bracketing.
Hey, thank you for the help! I am doing my ATPL/CPL by e-learning and I got stuck at this point. Does it matter if the relative bearing is a starboard drift or a port drift?

Just to say, very very VERY few hams use LF. The vast majority are on HF (Ignoring 2mtrs VHF here, for simplicity), the 80, 40, and 20 meter bands i.e. 3.5MHz, 7.5MHz, 14MHz etc.
1.6MHz is sometimes used, but very rarely. Lower? Almost never, by almost nobody.
