This trailer from 1986 is one in a series of AMC Theatres' "Silence is Golden" Policy Trailers. Being an AMC Theatres patron for most of my young life, these short trailers asking movie goers to be quiet during the film were the only policy trailers I can ever remember the chain using; there were none that ever said "'No Smoking' or 'Please Dispose of Your Trash at Trash Receptacles at The Back of The Theatre'".

  • I wasn't born till 1990 and didn't go to my first movie till '92 but I remember this

  • That's impressive that you remember it. Come to think of it, I vaguely remember it, as well (I was born in the late 1980s). The first time I watched this video, it did ring a tiny bell in the back of my mind. I don't remember the image of her so much as the "Shhhhhhhhh."

  • what was your first movie you seen in theaters?

  • I can't remember.

  • What was your's?

  • omfg I havent seen this in years, she still scares the shit out of me

  • The shit is scared out of me by her, as well.

  • Who is this weird lady? She's scary!

  • they should bring this back....no more silence is golden by amc. Instead there's the muppets policy trailer.

  • This is a bit scary don't you think

  • that trailer looks creepy

  • That's why there are DVDs. So that movie goers can rent videos and talk it up at their homes as much as they like. And a bunch of idiots saying "Shhh!" in the theater is just as annoying as the idiots talking.

  • @Reed488 Me three and I saw this front of Aladdin. Though unfortunately I hid under the seats the entire time. Don't ask me why, I was only three at the time.

  • my first movie was series of unfortunate events....i hated it

  • Home Alone 2, rockerfan
