  • @OrlandoRX7TII, Continuity

  • Tis is a version recorded live at the Memory Lane in Los angeles, California, 25.-25. may 1967. It is a not well known thume and even fans of Dizzy do not know it. Mybe the language is an african because he is speaking about africa Heinz Klagenfurt/Austria

  • @OrlandoRX7TII I'm not sure what language he is speaking at the beginning of the song, but the fast drum beats and the sing-and-repeat style are reminiscent of cuban santeria chants and yoruba lyrics... once again blending religion with consumerism all while winking to the deity african slaves were forced to abandon after being brought to america.

  • What language is he speaking?

  • this is a great song the more i listen the more i appreciate the genius of dizzie

  • Holy smokes. I heard this song on the radio last night and was totally transfixed for the entire duration. Damn masterpiece.

  • a great man of jazz...wonderful song

  • oh my god this album is soooo amazing
