No no no! Never ever hit or flick their nose as punishment. It's one of the most sensitive areas on a ferret's body and you could easily break their nose by doing that.

Nah! apart from being extremely hyper, they are very affectionate animals.
they will treat you just as well as a dog or cat, will depend much on how you treat them of course, dont give them the time of day then you will have a problem, show them love and they love twice as much back, neglect there needs and they become just like any neglected animal, they aint any different from cats or dogs, just smaller.
