I just thought this clip was funny because the host of the game (which I was spectating) totally sucked. Being owned all by blindfire shotgun is pretty sad. I mean, hell, he could have just hit the guy with pistol rounds while out of range of the shotgun.

That is not host advantage. You are referring to Assassination mode on GOW. Host advantage is not having any lag or latency (ping of 0), therefore making a higher percentage of your shots hitting the target. Therefore, shotgun shots have no lag and a higher chance of getting all of the spray to hit. Sniper shots just hit better period.
