Sen. David Vitter (R-LA) made a potentially Freudian slip-up while taking part in a New Orleans radio interview five years ago.

MSNBC's Dan Abrams, who hosted New Orleans call girl Wendy Cortez and Hustler magazine publisher Larry Flynt on his program Tuesday evening, played an excerpt from a July 2002 broadcast of Ringside, a political radio show during which Sen. Vitter was confronted by a caller to the program about a possible relationship with Cortez.

The caller, identified as "Flaming Liberal," challenged Vitter to "sign under the penalty of perjury an affidavit saying you have never had an extramarital affair and you have never known, met or been in the company of one Wendy Cortez."

@bigmuny02 In some ways I see what Clinton did was worse because he screwed someone that worked for him (although not paid), and then lied about it, and he was President. However, he didn't base his career on religious conservative family values, so he's just a liar as opposed to a liar and hypocrite. Clinton was not given a free pass, republicans made a fuss & wanted to impeach him.

I agree with your sentiment, but I do have a problem when they lie, or they preach one thing and do another.

@gregbird12 Actually the man that shot Flynt was a Democrat from Mobile, Ala, Joseph P. Franklin, he also shot Vernon Jordan who was Clinton's buddy and at the time he was shot he was on his way to a motel room with Martha Coleman. There's so much dirt on Jordan and in no way compares to Vitter. Jordan was a whore himself, he also defended Lewinski and told her to lie. Although Franklin admitted to shooting Flynt he was never brought to trial. So he was no "Rightwing" nut job as you say.

@strakha0 ..I just cannot wrap my head around the pass that was given to Bill Clinton and others with a different party affiliation that if you were to put it on a scale of 1 to 10 then what Vitter did would come in at a 3 or 4 while Clinton would be a 9 or 10...with 10 being the worst. Then again who are we to point fingers, we all lie either outright or by other ways, we cheat sometimes outright or with our feelings or other ways. What he did is old news and makes no difference to me.
