He is acting like that because he doesnt know what to do. He is really having to have some answers.What a bone head he is. I'm glad you found someone else who will be understanding and have a good bedside manner. He obviously failed that. I hope you feel better soon. Take care of yourself.

Darcy I pray to god that you get the results you need to know what's going on with your system/body.. And that dr/sur. certainly needs a good kick in the seat of the pants to put his manners and brain back in proper gears!!! You take good care of yourself and keep safe.. Wow the man sounds like a coo-coo bird. Find a good gastrointestinal (GI) doctor to treat your ulcer. Hope you feel better soon.

i'm so sorry for what you went through! yeah i got tested they said i dont' have h-pylori. my friend called me the other day, he has the same surgeon i do, and supposedly after his hernia surgery, an ulcer mysteriously appeared, so they believe it was caused by a surgical instrument, well... i went in for a bowel obstruction surgery, and two weeks later i have an ulcer,,, kind of weird :S xoxoxo

i had h-pylori for 5 years....it was hard to get rid of but it is gone now. when a nurse from the drs office called to tell me i asked how i got it and she said "its from unclean living" i was crying....she basically said i was dirty......the dr was mad when i told her because she said that can be it but it also can be contracted through saliva..sharing drinks, spoons etc with someone who has not washed hands after the bathroom(kids are a likely source)...btw that nurse mysteriously disappeared!

i believe your doctor said that because i had a dr say somehting similar to me about me not caring about the 10,000$ bag of platelets i was hooked up to because i was walking around the hospital....he never gave me instructions and to stay in bed and i think he was disappointed that i wasnt feeling as sick as my blood test indicated i should be...i never went back to him- he was the "best" dr in the med center, he was great but rude! im sorry you have to go through that

I would never in my life go back to that doctor again, and DEFINATELY report him and file a complaint with the hospital!!! You poor girl, keep your head up!

Sorry you're having to deal with an ulcer - blech! Meantime, I'd find a new doc first, then file a formal complaint on the old one with the ethics committee. It is worth it so he will stop treating people badly. that's just arrogant and ridiculous. As he pointed out, YOU are paying HIS bills. That means you are a CUSTOMER, not just a patient. That means he'd better damn well be nice to you. Hmmmph! Want me ta come smack him around for ya? ;)

if he said that your stoma could produce acid, did he put you on a acid controller or reducer? minimally pepcid, over the counter? or prevacid? a prescrip?
