this is my 55 gallon cichlid tank with 2 emperor 400 filters and the aquaclear 50 power head. Lets see if I can list everyone, Bumblebee crimson tide, zebra, hybrid, giraffe, fusco, ob peacock, synodontis brichardi, synodontis decora, pleco clown loach, rusty (2) frontosas, yala swamp, anchor island, Neolamprologus brichardi and a few I cant remember

  • It is a com ination of moving the water around and aeration as for the big guy the name I have seen most comon name I have seen was O.B. peacock as of noise it is alot louder than my aquclears that I have in my other tanks mainly because it has the bio wheel so there are stay bars that keep it moving but the noise isn't that bad I have it in the bedroom and its very tolerable

  • I have two emperor 400 that moves 800 gallons an hour I think. That good

  • Your tank is great!! I have a couple of questions...  What the heck does the aquaclear 50 power head do? Is it another bio-filter or does it just move water? What is kind of fish is the big multi-colored fish in the tank? Lastly, how much noise do you notice witth the two Emperors running? Thanks so much for sharing. )))
