It's an anual miracle and only the Greek-Ortodox Patriarch lit it.
The first written testemony about the ceremony of the holly light is by crusaders in 1102 AD,2 years after the catholics "liberated" Jerousalem.They try to take the light but....nothing and when their litany was leaving the temple and the Orthodox were aproaching the candles of ALL Orthodox simultaniously lit(before they get in to church).The crusaders came back running and praying,so,the catholick church called it fake(LOL)!!

Oh brother. THis is the kind of stuff that gives Orthodoxy a bad name.

A fire that does not burn is not possible. It has to use (or burn) oxygen in order to sustain the flame.
But, of course, this scientific mombo-jumbo can't convince you of jack.
That's why I am going to ask you to go there next year and put your hair on fire. That's right. Just drop the candle on your hair. God wouldn't give 3rd degree burns all over your body, would he? (this reminds me of the exodus somehow, get the picture?)
