  • I'd just like to point out if he paused for 2 seconds with the bar .5" from his chest there would be no way he could complete this lift. He's using a lot of momentum from both bouncing the bar off of his chest and arms.

  • @verano29 you are correct about this lift but its gym lift and this was 9 months ago, i repp this weight out now, 500 with a pause for seconds easy.....

  • nice job sarge. i just hit 500 this weekend :)

  • @jhor86 i saw that very nice work, great lift congrats 500 pounds is 500 pounds!!!!!!!

you came long way, im deployed cant video anything but still lifting heavy, my elbows wasnt issue never they have been very solid. i will reach 500 in a contest with pause no wraps nothing ultimate goal of mine at 40 plus years old lol

when i was your age i couldve push through 500 easy like yourself, i was too buzy chasin pussy then lol

get it while the gettin is good man, good job again.....

  • @sgtfitz71 At 40 even 45 you should be in your prime. If you lucky enought to avoid major injuries. This is strength world and not speed sports. You need 15-20 years to reach your peak. Andy Bolton broke deadlift record at 42 man. Some guys peaking in mid 20's but than again they going to retire in early 30's. You're right on track to hit 600 pounds in 3 years as long as you stay shoulder and peck injury free.

  • @m5p944 yes sir i will push rite through 550 here soon, then 600 is only 2 years away.....

  • Your spotter has tiny balls! What is he doing? He should have just went and took a piss! If you are going to spot you must stay directly behind the lifter.Dont take two steps back! I think he did that because the man was white!

  • @TheTyler456123 Are you retarded? He clearly said step back dumb ass

  • @sgtfitz71 what gear do you take

  • @verono29 its a phrase in powerliting terms you have to press the full weight with a pause if you take the weight down and "bounce" then you have momentum. If you pause you take the full weight the correct tecnique is to load your lats i.e bring down slowly acts like a spring! Powerlifters train to get maximum kinetic energy i.e speed means lower weight for speed one week and assistance and one week heavy (see westside barbell)

  • @verano29 I hate comments like yours when people talk about "bouncing the bar off his chest" this is completley stupid and impossible, for starters if he was only benching the bar it still wouldnt bounce as our chests simply dont do this, and second if you drop 500 pounds on a trampoline it wont even bounce never mind on a person.

  • i feared for ur lower back on this lift

  • you do alll baddd thamn it,fuck, alll baddd

  • these modern weights are lame looking, I like the old school iron weights 20 to 30 years ago, but they are all melted down, he's good for 495

  • man. watching this is crazy. im a sophomore and can do 230. i hope one day ill be able to do 360+....one again amazing lift!

  • BIG DUDE!!
