Hybrids can't do it, but my CDI can :D Nice diesel mate!

@SuperChicken13 Cant you just buy a silicone hose as a replacement? They are pretty standard.

lol this is supposed to be impressive?
-
yes it can, sorry

@raptorlp03 haha ikr, i'm not saying I have a badass car , i'm just saying for an oldie it's still more efficient for ME then a hybrid. I was not suggesting it for people, but thanks for making yourself look like a jackass. I do not putt around towns or cities, no need for that. and if your worried about emissions perhaps you should use an electric car in general. in towns i like to use my 550 ninja :p cheaper then a hybrid and diesel

@VentoDriver While there is a slight difference due to diesels turning lower rpms and operating at slightly higher temps, I believe the difference isn't even the measly 5% you have qouted. Even still, a hybrid doesn't even run it's gasoline all the time making the cars overall efficiency massively higher than that. A TDI might edge out a couple MPG on the highway but will get 20-30 less in stop and go, it's also only a second faster in the 1/4 and requires fuel thats .40+ more a gallon LOL

@oTimeIsLife And I'm sure your '99 has all the safety features and luxuries and meets the newest strictest emissions these new cars do. LOL how's your mileage in stop and go traffic in the city? Still a cool 50+ like the hybrid? Oh wait no it's not even 30 LOL.
when the oil runs out, it'll be useful as a chicken coop... and the engine as a door-stop...

As long as they can grow corn.... B100 and E100 will always be around for combustion engines. I don't agree with their use in older engines that aren't designed for it, but I support using alternative fuels as much as possible when merited.

lol "still running strong " after just 80000km...this baby is built to take 300000km or more easy...the germans know what they are doing my friend ;)

@tija5 The car has 310,000km. the 80,000 was 280,000. I installed the kit at 200,000km.

That's actually pretty quick considering that this was a 5th gear pull.

@BackTorque Exactly. The car is in a detuned state anyway. Still pulls harder than stock even with a cracked boost hose now... (which are unfortunately either hard to find used, or stupid expensive from the dealer).
