Thankyou for this. I have been walking in this area many times and have seen the castle from the shore but never thought of it being so lovely and well maintained.

You will have a great time especially is you are interested in history as Mary Queen of Scots has connections here. If nature is your thing there is a brilliant R.S.P.B. nature reserve at Vane farm so have a great time but remember to take your wellies as it has been very wet here!
