at least your giving the motor to some one that will use it but I like the idea

interesting, but why not keep the 4wd ? even if that means losing 10% efficiency, wouldn't it be awesome to have an electric 4x4 ? mainly because most off-road trails are only a few miles long, so an electric vehicle should be able to get through most of 'em on a single charge.

We had a couple of Samurai's on a farm I worked on. You can't get them stuck, I drove one around a tractor that I had buried in the mud up to the axles. They are pretty light and underpowered so they are perfect for field work. Are you going to keep the 4wd on it?

hi, we are looking for another one to make a mudbug. we will have the adaptor and motor coupler soon. i cant wait to take the first test drive in the new EV. the truck is 2wd so i am lucky on that. i think a4x4 would be a strain on the motor. i am wondering if the gear ratio is better than the mazda. i am having high hopes for the samurai, i think the samurai is a good choice for a conversion project. i am shooting for 55-60 mph running at 84v. we are back in the motors weight class of 2500lbs

Looks like a REALLY NICE donor vehicle. Wow, that thing's gonna be a beauty. I've thought about doing a Geo Tracker, if I could get my hands on a decent one with a manual, that would be awesome. (maybe next conversion). Can't wait to see how it turns out!
