@NotInMyName2012 You dont need to be a Shaolin Monk - 25 Minutes every few days, is all You need. And something that wont break, like a rock, or a brick wall. Or a Makiwara.

@Caeviens true but still not a good way of striking bone. Even conditioned bones can break. unfortunatly I don't have the life of a shaolin monk with hours of the day spare for punching brick walls
-
@NotInMyName2012 Then youve obviously never conditioned your hands, good sir. Tis a benefit of Martial Arts Training.

ive been practicing this by just what ive seen on tv and in mma fights and this video really clears things up. i also love the tips you give for competition fighting and how to use this move best for that. my dream one day is to fight competitively. right now im just a little below average high school wrestler how hits around on his heavybag in his "holes in the wall" shed gym with big dreams of getting some REAL training. really great vidoe man. thanks for the tips. im definatly subscribing.
What if they duck under and come up with a left hook? I see it being a problem more on the anchored backfist than the advancing, but leaving my right away from my face makes me nervous they will duck and counter w/ a 3..

@MegaHelloutube "No risk, no reward." The same goes for all strikes, as they all leave openings in some form or another. If the strike lands it is devastating. K-1 fighter, Keiji Ozaki, is a perfect example of that, as he has KO'd multiple opponents with both anchored and advanced back hammers. /watch?v=ExIb9Kw_6ms

does tae kwon do only involve punching or does it involve both punching and kicking

@LightningThaHedgehog Formal Taekwondo teaches punches, elbows, knees and kicks. But it places emphasis on advanced kicking technique.

When practicing this move, I am actually having the most trouble with my pivot/supporting foot. Watching your supporting foot in this video, I can't tell if you stay on the ball of your foot to spin, or you finish the rotation on your heel. Which is the correct way?

@TransAmFSAS Generally for advancing, start on the ball then finish on the heel. For anchored, start and finish on the ball.
