Ya the backup singer zzzz lol.
But you gotta know that a performance on idol has a limited amount of time allotted. And ususally a lot of the performanes are cut short and hurried.

She rushed her entrance into the second verse, but other than that the performance was all right.

The thing you have to remember about Carrie Underwood is that she's WAY more professional and polished than Melissa and she's older as well. For a 16-year old girl to emote like that and front a band makes her better than Carrie Underwood by miles, even if the performance may be slightly lesser.

its on hold right now because she is taking part in the on stage production of Dirty Dancing in Toronto, apparently as soon as the show is done she will go back to recording
