That must have had Amals; mine had Dellortos and all you had to do was kick once, no tickling.
This is the greatest motorcycle ever made, just ride it 50 feet and you'll know it.

Fabulous! The best part? That beautiful bevel drive 90 degree music. I have a 1974 750GT vin 755120, that I bought in '78 ( before wife kids etc ) The sound sold me! You have a nice looking AND sounding beauty Ed!

A button on top of the float bowl of the carburettors is depressed. This pushes the floats down, the needle and seat open, and the carb floods slightly (or a whole lot if you don't let up after a short while). Very handy for smelling like a petrol pump when you arrive at your breakfast destination.

Super, sounds fine (less mechanical noise).
Engine has been rebuild, i suppose?

what do you mean by tickle the carbs?
Yes, this GT has amals. Definitely makes beautiful music. Engine wasn't rebuilt but was serviced.
