The WYMA Hydro-cooler is a purpose built unit for reducing the core temperature of a fruit or vegetable in a very short time, enhancing freshness and extending shelf life. The unit consists of an insulated tunnel with a belt through the total length,... and an out feed elevator at the end to lift produce out and onto the remainder of the processing line.
The built-in refrigeration system allows for water to be sprayed onto produce from above through refrigerated coils. Water is circulated using a filter system and is sprayed through low pressure, high volume nozzles.
Water level within the Hydro-cooler is also fully adjustable and can be regulated to either totally immerse or partially immerse the produce on the belt, depending on the produce and cooling requirements.
